Simran

Simranjeet Kaur, a 21-year-old embroidery artist and founder of @handworkcollection, is based in Bathinda. Her love for crafts began back in her school days, but her professional journey started quite recently.
In January 2024, a friend asked her to create a wedding embroidery hoop for their bhaiya and bhabhi. What started as a small favor turned into her very first order and the beginning of something much bigger.
As Simran shares, “From that moment, I started creating handmade wedding embroidery hoops, designed especially as meaningful and personalized gifting items. What began as a simple favor has now grown into a passionate business journey driven by creativity, dedication, and love for handmade art. Every piece I create is not just a product, but a reflection of my story, my skills, and my dream.”
I came across Simran’s page when I was honestly exhausted from reaching out to embroidery artists across India and still not finding the right fit for our Lays Bag. But what she created in just two days completely amazed me. It was exactly how I had envisioned the Lays logo: precise, neat, and beautifully done.
Her work truly speaks for itself. If you haven’t already, go check out our Lays Bag
